Tippmann Boss Learning Curve

So I bought a used tippmann boss...and I love it.

A couple issues I have is that once in every stitching run it misses a stitch I am almost positive i am pulling down and up all the way.

The second issue is that I do get marks from the presser foot no matter how light I adjust it? I am using the popular center foot.

Is it skipping on a stright stitch or curve or dose it matter.

Here's my skipped stitch drill after I stop cussing.

1^st: Check to see if the bobbin thread pulls evenly by hand with no jerking. If you have a trigger pull scale or fish scale get the pull between 12 to 16 oz. For a jumping off point.

2^nd: Check timing and for bent needle.

3^rd: With the handle held all the way up make sure the take up arm is also all the way up.

4^th: Make sure your not force feeding the material.

+1 on the takeup arm adjustment. When mine skips a stitch Its always becasue I need to adjust the take up arm. Just be careful and do not adjust it too much. You get a ton of problems with tension issues when its set to far.
