Members undeberg Posted October 3, 2013 Members Report Posted October 3, 2013 I'm getting ready to start on a hope chest inlay, thought I'd throw this up to see if anyone had any suggestions before I start cutting into the leather. Quote
Northmount Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 The name seems to get lost. Are you going to use some dye to highlight the name? If not, I would try to open the design up around the name a little bit. Not very much though else it will look like something is missing. You've done a lot of very good work on the design. Tom Quote
Members undeberg Posted October 3, 2013 Author Members Report Posted October 3, 2013 Yes, I'll be using a dye to make the name stand out, as well as a beaded border around the edges of the name. I'm thinking a black for the beaded border and then a dark brown for the interior of the letters. The rest of the background will be natural skirting leather. Thanks! Quote
