calanneh Report post Posted September 30, 2008 ANyone know a good tutorial for a pair of mocasins that go up half way up the knee. I am looking to do something with a suede I have a a bit of sheep fur for walking round the GF's house down in the country. Tandy has two real nice moc boot patterns. I have made the fringed Native American style from their pattern and I am making a pair of the Frontiers Man boots now. They are both maded from chap&moc leather. I have made a few 'self engineered' knee-high mocs and low top boots. I combined several different patterns I found on the web to get the designs I wanted. You can find a number of free moc patterns on the web, but the Tandys patterns are nice because they have instructions and everything with them and you can lay them out and start cutting without too much prep. The one warning is that their sizes run about one small. So be careful when you pick which size you intend to make. Their list of patterns as at the following: http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/products.asp?dept=65 Look in the 'reenactment' section of the forum. There was a recent thread about mocs there with lotsa links posted. Hope this helps. cal

It's a treasure I've used it for years. You should check it out.
