Members TXAG Posted October 11, 2013 Members Report Posted October 11, 2013 (edited) Can I become some of the wooden pins for this machine Sounds like a potentially very painful process... Sorry...couldn't resist... Edited October 11, 2013 by TXAG Quote
raysouth Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 I have no idea what this is but if you contact Walter Roth on this site, I bet he could tell you what it is. Good luck. God Bless. Ray Quote
Members RoyalLeatherDesigns Posted October 11, 2013 Members Report Posted October 11, 2013 This looks like a sole patcher or a inside sole patcher after the McKay style not sure but this is what I think you can contact shoesystemsplus.com and give the a model number see what they can tell you about it if anyone cam help you I think it be them. Members MikeCahill Posted March 18, 2014 Members Report Posted March 18, 2014 I realise it is a long time after the initial posting, I think it is a pegging machine, a square awl makes a square hole in a boot sole, then the machine head moves over and fills the hole with a square wooden peg, used in boot making instead of stiching, the wooden pegs are still available from a german company called "Blau Ring" (sp?} they are used a lot in making american cowboy boots, and wartime Soviet and German military boots if anyone has one in the UK and wants to sell it, I might be interested Quote
Members MikeCahill Posted April 13, 2014 Members Report Posted April 13, 2014 If anyone has a pegging machine (I haven't) I have a supply of the steel square awls made by Geo Barnsley, I'll send you some for the cost of postage, if you want to get rid of one, contact me Cheers Mike Quote
Members leatherquestions Posted August 3, 2014 Members Report Posted August 3, 2014 I had a McKay lockstitch machine similar to that in my shoe repair shop. Mine was Landis. It sews the sole of dress shoes from the inside of the shoe. If you have a flatbed for it you can use it to stitch just about anything from harneass to holsters. Quote
