Tejas Report post Posted December 10, 2013 Years ago we lived in Santa Cruz and bought tanned hides from Salz Tannery, as you all must know is now closed. I bought two hides and have now used them up. I would like to buy again, but I have no idea of the type -- other than it's soft, not very thick and black.
