Members jessebeckham Posted December 12, 2013 Members Report Posted December 12, 2013 I'm working on a belt and was wondering if suede makes for a good liner? I usually use 2/3oz veg. Any thoughts on this would be great. Thanks ahead of time. Quote
Members Dwight Posted December 12, 2013 Members Report Posted December 12, 2013 I have done a few, . . . and personally, . . . I don't like it. The suede tends to be sticky when you try to put the belt through the loops, . . . grabby, . . . I do not have as good success on edging a veggie tan/suede edge as I do a veggie tan/veggie tan edge of two pieces of leather. Others will chime in, I'm sure with different ideas, . . . these are just my thoughts. I vastly prefer veggie tan liners. May God bless, Dwight Quote
MadMorbius Posted December 13, 2013 Report Posted December 13, 2013 Trouser belt or cowboy gun belt? Suede is great for lining gun belts for the same reason it sucks on pant belts...the belt stays where you put it. Quote
Members jessebeckham Posted December 13, 2013 Author Members Report Posted December 13, 2013 It would be for a belt. I'll stick with the veg tan. Quote
