eglassman88 Report post Posted December 23, 2013 Hello Everyone, I'm looking for magnets like these ones http://shop.mogocharm.com/p/mogo-charmband-pink?pp=12 to be used on a bracelet. Does anyone know if these types of magnet have a specific name or where I can locate them? Thanks so much!!! Ed
TXAG Report post Posted December 23, 2013 I don't get it -- what is the purpose of the magnets supposed to be?
eglassman88 Report post Posted December 23, 2013 They attach magnetic charms to the bracelet in the link I attached.
TXAG Report post Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) Ahh...didn't see the charms. Well, you can get similar magnets on amazon. I'd give you a link, but the lovely idiots in IT at T-mobile broke my tablet's ability to copy text. You can find them on Amazon by searching for "rare earth magnets". They have all sorts of sizes that should work for your project. I've bought some to hang stuff on my walls in my office and they work great...they are very strong. eglassman88 Report post Posted December 23, 2013 Oh ok cool. Any idea what they're called? These seem to be made specifically for bracelets where they're thin in the middle and u can just "press" them in the hole u make and they'll stay.
TXAG Report post Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) Hmmm...Not sure I've seen those specific ones that attach that way then. You might try choosing the "arts, crafts, and sewing" category on there and then search for rare earth magnets. I'll see if I can find them on there. Well, I found a place that may have what you need...www.kjmagnetics.com If you cannot find them on their website, I'd recommend contacting them...looks like they have all sorts of different mounting options for magnets. This may truly come as a surprise to folks, but in order for a URL to work correctly, every character in the URL has to be correct. If it's off by even one character, it won't work. I'm not trying to sound like a smart-alec...I think some people may genuinely not understand that because I see it happen very frequently. It's best to test it out before posting if in doubt. raysouth Report post Posted January 2, 2014 Should not have added the "&"sign used in their name. Been buying from them for a long time and have them in my favorites but never read the email address to see that the ampersand was not included. How ax we become with age. lol. Perfection as eluded me but will have to accept the new way I must do things. God Bless. Ray
TXAG Report post Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) I am by no means trying to say I'm perfect. And certainly not advocating perfection just for perfection's sake (though I do strive to be as perfect as possible in my leatherwork). Unfortunately, with web addresses perfection is mandatory or it won't work at all. Edited January 2, 2014 by TXAG
