Though someone is certain to come along and easy that "there's no right answer" in order to get people to buy off on THEIR answer...but the correct answer is along the back/spine is used for the reason you mentioned... lightingale Report post Posted January 10, 2014 TXAG is spot on. To add to his answer, the back is often called the "bend" when you're buying leather.
