Members rgerbitz Posted October 4, 2008 Members Report Posted October 4, 2008 Hello all, I am looking to get a side of latigo. Will be using it to make bosal hangers mainly, and for other odds and ends repair work. Possibly may look at using it to braid a bosal or two. Can anyone suggest which latigo maybe best for these uses? Which weight and suppliers would be best to look at. Thank you for your time, Rob Quote
superchute Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 I would call luke at sheridan leather outfit He will fix you up with all you need. there # is 1-888-803-3030 Russ Quote
rcsaddles Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 I have to agree with that. The Big Horn latigo that Sheridan leather is probably the best there is. As far as the weight, I would recommend to get the heaviest you need and then split it to the desired thickness for other projects. Joe Quote
Members mtsadl Posted October 6, 2008 Members Report Posted October 6, 2008 I like the Santa Yenez latigo that Seigel of California carries, it is as close to the old Salz latigo as I have found and it is priced fairly reasonable and they will pay the shipping Matt Quote
