Members CuteCollars Posted February 24, 2014 Members Report Posted February 24, 2014 Hello Leather Workers, I have a question. Last year I sold my artisan walking food leather machine because it was just too much for me. I am ready to purchase another leather sewing machine this year used but am unsure what I need. Ill be sewing dog collars and leashes. Thats it. Ill be using upolstry leathers, garment leathers, deer skins and very little if any light weight coe hide. All suggestions welcome! Thank you, Samantha Quote
Members Randy Cornelius Posted February 24, 2014 Members Report Posted February 24, 2014 You sold the machine you needed. The Juki 440 clones are one of the best all around machines. You might get by with a flat bed machine if you don't sew anything over 8=10 oz. I think I can get like 1/2 inch under my foot but it is all it wants to sew. Quote
Members CuteCollars Posted February 24, 2014 Author Members Report Posted February 24, 2014 I would not be sewing more then 8 oz of soft leathers. Quote
