Twisted 66 Report post Posted February 24, 2014 I have an xtra Suzuki boulevard c50 stock solo seat ( pic attached ) looking to shave it down and re cover it.. anyone have tips for a newbie on how to cut/cover/assemble a seat like this (sorry if this has been asked somewhere else) is there a pattern? a way to make one using original cover maybe? thanks for any input Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

jridley Report post Posted May 7, 2014 I'm having a lot of trouble shaping the foam on my V Star 1300 solo seat. A electric carving knife only works on flat or convex surfaces, not on concave. My goal is to shape the foam then adapt veg tanned leather over the foam after tooling a design. So far I've learned that the foam has to be very smooth, otherwise the bumps and irregularities in the foam will show through. If I cannot shape the leather myself, I'm taking the seat and have MREDMOTO in Albany Oregon do the foam part. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
