Members glockanator Posted February 26, 2014 Members Report Posted February 26, 2014 The easiest way 8 to take the old cover off and trace or out on your pattern material. Quote
Members J Hayes Posted March 16, 2014 Members Report Posted March 16, 2014 The foam cuts easily with an electric carving or fillet knife. Quote
jridley Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 I'm having a lot of trouble shaping the foam on my V Star 1300 solo seat. A electric carving knife only works on flat or convex surfaces, not on concave. My goal is to shape the foam then adapt veg tanned leather over the foam after tooling a design. So far I've learned that the foam has to be very smooth, otherwise the bumps and irregularities in the foam will show through. If I cannot shape the leather myself, I'm taking the seat and have MREDMOTO in Albany Oregon do the foam part. Quote
Members biglew Posted May 17, 2014 Members Report Posted May 17, 2014 seems to me I have seen some youtube videos on motorcycle seats Quote
