Averya Report post Posted March 4, 2014 For those of you who followed the thread on the running border stamp, here are the results. Bruce Johnson was absolutely correct.....this Jeremiah Watt stamp is exactly what they used. Very interesting stamp as you can get different results by flipping it back and forth or just using it as a straight line. In the first photo, the top "keeper" has the pattern I was looking for. The piece of leather below it has the pattern from the JW stamp - it was made by flipping the stamp back and forth (top of stamp up then bottom up, etc). The second photo shows the pattern this stamp will make by just using it is a straight line. Way cool stamp....... Thanks again everyone for assistance in finding this stamp. LTC Report post Posted March 4, 2014 Why is the top one embossed so much deeper than the one you did?
Averya Report post Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks Bob. LTC....I just used scrap leather and didn't case it like I normally do. Also, it appears the top one has some antique added to give the pattern more definition.
