Members Nessmuk1 Posted March 11, 2014 Members Report Posted March 11, 2014 I bought a thing called a leather splitter. It is small, two pieces of wood, hinged, and has a blade in one side, a metal pad on the other. When hinged closed it has the blade into a slot on the metal pad. It is only 4 - 6 inches long closed. Moderator bruce johnson Posted March 11, 2014 Moderator Report Posted March 11, 2014 It sounds like it might be an Akins (Atkins, Adkins, something like that anyway) splitter. Very old , Got a picture? Quote
