gtrscarz Report post Posted March 24, 2014 I was wondering if anyone has had experience making custom Fire Helmet Shields. I've had a request to make one but had a few questions. First off, does anyone have a template? And is there any special finish to be used since they are going to be in a working fire environment. Any info is greatly appreciated. Edm1602 Report post Posted June 20, 2015 I'm actually trying my hand at a fire helmet shield. I've been doing a lot of reading about different techniques and I'm ready to give it a shot. The one problem I'm having is getting a decent template to work with. I have a few commercially produced shields but the metal bar on the back gives its a curve that makes it tough to copy or scan.
