Members Wild Bill46 Posted April 14, 2014 Members Report Posted April 14, 2014 Hi Everyone, I'm still fairly new, been lurking for some time now. This will not be my first post, however it will be my first attempt to download any of my work. The Bible cover itself is of Brown Upholstery Hide, very thick White Deer Hide-inlay, Brown Mexican Hand Braiding, using Imperial lace,(not so bad) I had our cousin make the jeweled cross for me. Hope all this comes through Ok ? Thanks for looking, God Bless Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted April 14, 2014 Members Report Posted April 14, 2014 Nice, Bill, I especially like the white deer skin. Have you ever repaired a soft Bible cover? I had someone ask me if I would a while back. Quote
Members Wild Bill46 Posted April 14, 2014 Author Members Report Posted April 14, 2014 Monica ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I would have to say , I'm glad I have not been asked. Not that its hard to sew deer hide, But I'm not versed in repair. At least not yet ! Oh and in answer to your other question, would I ever do hair on hide again, Yes its not bad to work with at all. I enjoyed it ! Sorry, I neglected to give you an answer earlier . Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted April 16, 2014 Members Report Posted April 16, 2014 Yeah, me either. It seemed too much like honest to goodness book binding, which I find intimidating. Maybe someday when I have all the right glues and clamps. Quote
