bwillielv Report post Posted April 17, 2014 I have a chance to buy a Consew model 28 machine. I found the manual online but it doesn't tell me everything I need. CowboyBob Report post Posted April 17, 2014 This model 28 is the same as a Singer 78-1 or-3 machine.It should sew the same as a 31-15 up to 5/16" around 20 oz of leather,it would be good for wallets,chaps & etc. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Basically I need it to sew two pieces of 8 ounce leather together until I can buy a more expensive machine. This would be my first machine.
