Dwight Report post Posted April 29, 2014 Sewing across a strap or belt, . . . literally perforates it like a tear off piece of a sporting ticket. And, . . . unfortunately, . . . it can have the same result: the perforation becomes the weakest piece of the belt or strap, . . . and after a little time, . . . some wear, . . . and a full load placed upon it, . . . that is the place where it will tear just like a ticket stub. Most people continue stitching all the way around the billet, that's a good place to start and stop the stitching if you're using a machine.
