Members mrtreat32 Posted April 30, 2014 Members Report Posted April 30, 2014 The buckle guy website has nice looking hardware but the snaps they use are different from the standard line 20 and 24. Does anyone know if you can set them using osborne tools or do I need to purchase the buckleguy setters specifically for thei hardware. thank you Quote
Members LTC Posted April 30, 2014 Members Report Posted April 30, 2014 i would personally not buy non-standard snaps so that i don't have to buy proprietary dies or anything like that. Quote

Yeah agreed but for solid brass they seem to be cheaper than other places. Ohio Travel bag has a great selection but seems like a pain to order especially if Im not ordering for a business. Any other snap hardware sites . recommendation? Quote
Members LTC Posted April 30, 2014 Members Report Posted April 30, 2014 not "cheap" if you have to buy their "special" little dies and/or proprietary press tools though... ohio travel bag -- you might want to do a search on here for a recent thread on them before you get sticker shock on their shipping charges anyway... i use fasnap..... http://fasteners.fasnap.com/viewitems/premium-snap-fasteners/caps? they have brass snaps as well as in black oxide and all sorts of colors. you have to order 100 at a time, but i go through them pretty quickly and it's nice not fearing i'll run out very soon...
