Dog Beaded Collars And Beaded Leather

I saw a lady do this a short while ago on here but I cannot find the link.

She had beaded an entire colour.

A friend has asked me to do this but I am wondering if it is worth the amount of time as it will require a good deal of handstitching.

I know the Kenyans do it fantastically but it seems amazingly labour intensive

I am also involved with a lot of horsey people and there is a lot of demand for beautifully crafted beaded stuff made locally.

Beading like that is insanely labor intensive. Unless you were working with someone with a large budget, it's not usually worth it.

The most I ever do at this point is beaded accents. I just sew the beads directly onto thinner leather with good ol' needle and thread, like this:

It gives a kind of beaded look, but takes a lot less time. (Even still, that beading on both sides took me at least an hour).
