Pauls Leather Report post Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) So I set out to make myself a holster for a new pistol I purchased. I am a total newb but having the willingness to learn anything. Let me know how I did and how I can get better. After finishing I made some of my own observations: Try next to be more uniform in my stitch line with the edge of leather. However I know what some parts are thinner and that was having trouble cutting the front and back piece to match exactly. Also bring in the stitch tighter on the trigger guard section. That's easily fixed by trimming my template. Anyways, hope you enjoy the pics and thanks for looking. I look forward to making some more. I drew up the design on a piece of paper and then transferred it to the leather and starting cutting and stamping away. Pauls Leather Report post Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) Thanks. I have another coming for a tad larger pistol but I am uping my ante on this one and attempting some very simple airbrush dye application. nice Is it lined front and back? I see the 3rd piece , looks to be back side.. Just lined on the back piece. I actually ran out and I just chocked it off as no one will ever see that side. on a side note. I dyed that lining black. Eaglestroker Report post Posted May 22, 2014 Your tooling looks very nice. I'm not a fan of the muzzle protruding from the holster, and the 'wing' on the grip end is an obstruction to a shooters grip as high as it comes. Keep at it!

Yeah, the muzzle protruding and obstruction is something I think I got figured out now on my 2nd holster I'm working on. I'll keep this one like this for a while. It's too nice to set aside. Haha!
