So I've never used a beveler or worked with leather in any way. I watched a Tandy tutorial that calls for Craftool B202 L&R bevelers. I looked them up and they appear to have a checkered pattern. I am confused about the L&R... does the left and right refer to the direction of the lines in the impression? or what? I haven't seen any other bevelers which are L&R?

Additionally, is there an equivalent that I could buy that would do the same thing, but with just one tool? I'm thinking of just buying a few tools from Barry King, and bypassing Craftool stuff. I haven't bought ANY bevelers, so I was just going to start with one or so and go from there.

These are leaf liners (striped, not checkered) You make in-prints to the left & right of the middle nerve of the leaf.
