Members redhat Posted June 30, 2014 Members Report Posted June 30, 2014 I am hoping to get some technical support from experienced folks here. I'm new to a very old Industrial strength Consew 18 sewing machine. I hope I haven't bit off more than I can chew!!!! It supposedly worked last time it was used. I think I am figuring out how to thread it, no manual included. Downloaded manual pics are vague. So I'm guessing a little. I am not new to sewing on regular machines. This is a whole different animal. The needle breaks when it goes down into the plate, and the presser foot doesn't go down very much when I drop the foot down. That's just the beginning I'm sure. The knee peddle thing doesn't do anything either. I bought this for $150. Hope I haven't been conned~ again. :-( Quote
