Members cahenry Posted June 30, 2014 Members Report Posted June 30, 2014 I thought I'd suggest a cord I've used for hand sewing leather since I've seen posts for folks looking for additional colors. I have a fiber and beading background and I use C-lon for beading and kumihimo braiding in addition to leather sewing. The standard C-lon is Tex 210, 3-ply, z twist, 35 pound breaking strength. It doesn't come in large spools (86-92 yds.) but it comes in 104 colors. The C-lon Tex 400 is .09mm and 75 pound breaking strength and comes in 72 colors. C-lon comes in finer weights as well. You buy it from beading and micro-macrame suppliers. My usual source is Marion Jewels in FIber. There are other sources that are easy to google but she has some great info on thread/cord specs. There is another cord called S-lon (Superlon) that is virtually the same and available from different beading suppliers. Quote
