Chappyron Report post Posted July 18, 2014 I make belts and wallets for the Vets at the Va hospital. Looking for the pre-made credit card part of the wallet so I can make them quicker. I do not have a sewing machine to do it and hand stitching takes lots of time, not as neat. Not the plastic inserts the one that are sewn in interior leather. Need a vendor that sells them. Thanks

Chappyron Report post Posted July 20, 2014 Looked up Springfield and cost is a concern. Around $11-12 each. I do not charge for the wallets or belts so I am trying to keep cost to a minimum. I am retired, fixed income and do leathercrafting as a hobby so the cost per item is a concern. At the last visit by my American legion Post I did 30 wallets and around 25 belts. The vets were really thankful for them. Would like to continue to do it and also include the homeless vets of WNY. Last year I did buy a 12 pack of pre made interior that had three credit card slots on each side, when sewed it had two hidden pockets. Unfortunately Indo not remember where or who I got them from. Thanks for your suggestion
Glendon Report post Posted July 21, 2014 Check this link. Along with the expensive inport interiors, Springfield sells wallet interiors made in house for less. http://springfieldleather.com/199/Wallet-Parts-%26-Window-Inserts/
billybopp Report post Posted July 21, 2014 Thanks Glendon! I thought I had seen some other interiors, but didn't manage to find them when I went looking for them. Chappyron, you might consider giving Springfield a call and let them know what you are doing. You just might talk them into giving you a price break for a good cause, or for a volume purchase. It's worth a try! Bill
Glendon Report post Posted July 22, 2014 That's a good point Bill. They may not be able to, but this is SLC. They might give you a small deal for what the project is. Worth asking anyway.
