piddler Report post Posted July 27, 2014 Perhaps a couple interested parties could join together and get it broken down that way.

TXAG Report post Posted August 8, 2014 I wont Ok, that right there is probably why you haven't had any buyers. Most of us don't likely have a cool $10k just sitting there burning a hole in our pocket...much less the time and money to travel there and haul it all off. Just sayin... piddler Report post Posted August 15, 2014 Im just not interested in letting folks cherry pick and I'm left with other items that are harder to sell. Thanks
TXAG Report post Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) Yeah, well you get what you give. That's all I'm sayin'...you want it that way and want to treat people like that, it's not surprising no one wants to buy everything. You have to look at it from our point of view too -- we'll probably get stuck with a bunch of garbage we can't use too. You don't want to get stuck with it either...that's fine. Just don't be so shocked that the rest of us don't either. Edited August 15, 2014 by TXAG
cdthayer Report post Posted August 15, 2014 Everybody wants the gravy, and not the old cold tater. Sometimes you have to buy the tater to get the gravy. Thanks for your negative posts, it keeps bumping this thread back up again so that maybe that old boy can sell his outfit before he goes completely blind.CD in Oklahoma
TXAG Report post Posted August 15, 2014 Yeah, because everyone is sure jumping at the chance now. LOL
papaw Report post Posted August 16, 2014 Why not list what you have as a whole hard to think of spending 10K and not knowing going in. I for one could buy it but not willing to travel to TX. But I would want to know as much able it before I even gave it a strong thought. I can buy what I need for that amount, may not get what is offered here but I know what I am getting. As long as the post has been up you could post most of what you are offering then maybe two or three people would go together on it> Just .02 from my end. piddler Report post Posted August 16, 2014 Excellent idea, and I wasn't aware I was being negative. It is rather overwhelming thinking about taking pics and posting all this stuff. I will get some done tomorrow. Thanks
cardinal leather Report post Posted August 18, 2014 You could find a local on line auction house for your sale. I talked to a guy in MN a couple of years ago that wanted to sell out. I went to inspect his equipment, all very nice and fairly new due to a break in and theft. He wanted around 10 grand for his shop. I did not have a place to store everything at the time. I did buy the only item that he did not include in his sale advertisement. In the end he sent all thru an online auction house that sold only his stock in the sale, they advertised it as his shop sale. I tracked the sale when it came up and was amazed at all of the product, tools, hardware that he had. Not sure how much he got for it but know that he was at or over what he was looking for. Just a thought, good luck with your sale. Jim

CD in Oklahoma I hear what you're saying, and kudos to you for turning negative vibes into positive ones. At 4500- for just the machines alone, sounds like he's leaving enough meat on the bone for qualified people to pull the trigger regardless of whether they can use it all or not. The rest of us can find what we need elsewhere as opposed to busting his chops for what you may be there that we could use. It's probably tough enough for him to be force into selling and the inability to do this kind of work anymore. Off hand, at 10 grand, how much would be free? It seems the offer / opportunity is for potential customers who are interested in a complete shop and not "most of us" So it may be a good idea to give the total value. Somebody out there has the money and the time and may be inspired by seeing an overall savings for a shop that can do anything. Personally, my success is due to versatility and my shop consists of countless artistic techniques focused to a specific market, I wouldn't trade that for anything. I'm soon to add a station for resin casting so I can sculpt and cast super detailed 3D leather stamping tools and sell them. Will probably have to buy piece by piece but would love to find a ready made set up for a good deal. And Jeez, it's only been a month so keep plugging. Hope all is well with the medical situation Piddler, God bless and good luck. Edited August 23, 2014 by a2jacketpatches

a2jacketpatches Report post Posted August 30, 2014 Just a little time will tell, as you can see. Someone with the money to pay and skills / ability to use such a wide range of materials will come along. Pay no attention to the critics and tire kickers. piddler Report post Posted September 1, 2014 I guess the guy from Oklahoma changed his mind. Haven't heard back from him since the initial contact: Sooooo... It's still for sale.
piddler Report post Posted September 12, 2014 Still no takers? I'm disappointed to say the least. Medical bills are piling up (I pay my bills rather than have someone else do it) so never can tell, even a better price might me entertained. PM with SERIOUS offers (please don't waste yours and my time with lowball offers) or call at 817-343-9923. Thanks
