I'm looking for a purple dye, but the color swatch for the fieblings dark purple is quite dark. Has anyone used purple dye and do you have pictures of a finished product so I can see how the color turned out?

Try Angelus dies.

A teacher pointed at me with a ruler and said "At the end of this ruler is an idiot." I got detention when I asked "Which end?"

This was done with Fiebings Oil Dye diluted 4:1 with denatured alcohol.

The lettering was resisted with 3 coats of 100% Resolene.

It looked good but it did have some spots that the dye didn't seem to penetrate well. Probably from being heavily diluted.

I agree with Sylvia get some Angelus dye it's the best i have used. You can get it at Turtle Feathers and they ship it quick. I mix 50 / 50 with denatured alcohol and it works fine, alot better than Febings and i use it for years but no more !!

I'm old enough to know that i don't know everything.
