Members 89cherokeelimited Posted August 8, 2014 Members Report Posted August 8, 2014 So i'm fairly new to leather. I have done belts for a few months now and some hybrid holsters. My hybrids i've made so far are just flat 8-9 oz leather with molded kydex. Nothing fancy yet. My brother in law asked me if I could do an ammo pouch for the belt I made him. The ammo pouch isn't anything special just something I drew up on paper and measured about 300 times before cutting my leather. I'm a perfectionist so I measure and contemplate for 2 hours before I cut anything lol The colors do match but the pictures were taken with two different phones so they come out a hair different in the pictures. He also wants a holster for his revolver to match which i'm starting on today. The ammo pouch fits 50x .40 S&W rounds in it. Sits on a belt quite nicely too. Here is the belt. Here is the ammo pouch to match Quote
Members ConradPark Posted August 8, 2014 Members Report Posted August 8, 2014 Looking great! May I ask what size of grommets you use and the weight of the leather? Quote
Members 89cherokeelimited Posted August 8, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 8, 2014 (edited) Thank you! I used 5/16" grommets with 8-9 oz 2" strap for the belt. Edited August 8, 2014 by 89cherokeelimited Quote

Members 89cherokeelimited Posted August 8, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 8, 2014 (edited) Very nice, I especially like that pouch. Thank you! It came out better then I was expecting honestly. I figured my first shot at it would be a disaster. If they just get better from here that would be awesome! One thing I want to try next is water molding a pouch. Edited August 8, 2014 by 89cherokeelimited Quote
