I know that when I watch TV, I watch for many reasons given my filmmaking passion. However, I find lately that now I more and more look for each leather accessory and prop big or small than for any other reason. How many others are as "leather alert" as I am when they watch the screen?

And what is your favorite show or movie that inspires you to shut off the tv and start leather crafting?

Maybe I'm just more aware than in the past, or maybe there really is more fine leatherwork in our entertainment lately, particularly in period pieces. Some favorites of mine on TV are HBO's "Game of Thrones", BBC Americas "Musketeers" and "Atlantis" and occasionally "Doctor Who", Starz "Spartacus" and "Outlander", Turn and The Tudors.

The Thor movies, Prince of Persia, and a lot of others.

I don't know who they are, but somebody is doing some really nice leather costume work these days!

Additionally if you poke around on here some, you'll see some great work inspired by these shows as well as original work by Raven, Prince, and others.

I just said that to my husband about a week ago! There was some great leather work on History Channel's "Vikings" drama series...

All the time. I'm usually far more interested in the luggage, bags, armor, etc. than I am in the content of the show. That says as much about the lack of good content as it does about my passion for leather goods... I think... ;)

3:10 to Yuma. GREAT leather belts and holsters in that one. The "Hand of God" holster is amazing.

I wasn't even thinking about westerns. There aren't so many of those as there used to be, but heck yeah! Great leather gear there too. Gun belts, saddles, and about anything else that you can think of.

Glad I wasn't the only one. Recently I was writing a script and had to force myself to concede that not all my characters NEEDED custom leather products. (But most would.) haha
