dq7133 Report post Posted September 23, 2014 Hi guys, I just got a quote for a Consew 206RB-5 with silent servo motor from a UK supplier for £1,950.00 plus vat. That's over $3200 with tax... Seems pretty steep compared to US prices. Does anyone have any experience purchasing equipment in the UK? The supplier is www.anglosewing.co.uk. Are such high prices normal for England? At that price I would be better off buying one here and putting it in a shipping container, but I'd rather work with a local dealer and avoid the hassle of shipping overseas. Thanks! Constabulary Report post Posted September 24, 2014 You could look for a used one instead. Another option could be to check out some dealers on the Continent. You save the import taxes as the UK is (still) in the EU. Not sure if you will find a Consew 206 over here but there are for sure other machines with similar specs.
