Members Rawhidelady Posted October 9, 2014 Members Report Posted October 9, 2014 I used to get rawhide discs from Hereford Bi-Products but they have quit the rawhide business as Bill Confer has retired. Has anyone found a good replacement source for rawhide? Quote
Members Tucker6591 Posted October 9, 2014 Members Report Posted October 9, 2014 I am too interested in where most get there rawhide from, if they are not making it already. Rawhidelady, where do you get your calf lacing that you used in the bracelet thread? Quote
rcsaddles Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 The best I have found is from Stern Tanning. Jeff Stern is the owner and is doing a great job of processing rawhide. his e-mail is info@sterntanning.com You can also call him at 414-578-8640. Jeff supplied some rawhide disks for a lace cutting class in Sheridan this past May. They cased and cut very nice. Quote
Members Rawhidelady Posted October 11, 2014 Author Members Report Posted October 11, 2014 Thank you for the contact information RCSaddles. Tucker6591, I purchased those laces on the spool from ebay. I am not in the position right now to make my own lace, so I have to purchase it premade. At least this way I keep on practicing and don't forget how to braid too many buttons. Thanks Quote
