Members GuitarLeatherDopeFiend Posted October 20, 2014 Members Report Posted October 20, 2014 Just a little freehand carving practice, and a sample of dragon scales for a strap that never came through... good practice though. Quote
Members builderofstuff Posted October 21, 2014 Members Report Posted October 21, 2014 Very cool. Keep up the good work. Sadly carving is something I've never spent much time doing. I like it, but for some reason I just never seemed to do much of it. Chris Quote Just a man, a shop, and a long list of unfinished projects..... My Website My Etsy Shop
Members GuitarLeatherDopeFiend Posted October 21, 2014 Author Members Report Posted October 21, 2014 Thanks builderofstuff, I appreciate the kind words! Carving is awesome to me, because it's almost like drawing, you are free to put whatever you can think of onto leather. It's what I started out doing, because I don't have hundreds or thousands to spend on a massive arsenal of stamps and other tools. How do I take a look at some of your work, I wanna return the love! Members MonicaJacobson Posted October 22, 2014 Members Report Posted October 22, 2014 Cool! I really love dragon scale stuff. Like this mandolin: http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?110227-Dragon-Yin-Yang-Mandola&highlight=dragon Anyway, I haven't really put in the work to do it well, but it's on my to-do list, some time. Looks like you are well on your way! Quote http://monicajacobson.com/ https://www.etsy.com/shop/TrimGoTrix?ref=si_shop
