papaw Report post Posted November 10, 2014 Well luck has shined on me again. I was contacted by a party from another site that may have the foot petal and spring for this tool, so am hoping to get pictures or purchase it. As I have now found out the hold down is foot operated. and not hand or screw tension. It uses a foot petal and spring with rods to apply the pressure for embossing. Thanks for the looks like to see the tools of old and bring them back to life.

raysouth Report post Posted February 5, 2015 PawPaw, that is a superb find. I know you will enjoy that tool. The wheels are great and you certainly lucked out, so to speak, when you found this treasure. Even though I don't use my embosser that much, I like having it around so when the mood strikes I can create something with it. The wheels/rolls are the expensive part of embossing, especially those made of brass/bronze metals. I also use those made by Bunkhouse Tools and they have a large selection of interesting rolls. Hope to see the end result when all cleaned and polished. God Bless. Ray
