We have the opportunity to get a Nakajima Rex 345 2L sewing machine. Does anyone know if it has a walking foot. Also would it be suitable for sewing thick leather. I have seen photos but difficult to see much and i cant find any info online. I would also like to find out the measurement for the arm on the machine. Any help greatfully received.

It is a walking foot.  I have one that I haven't used yet.  What I've read, thin leather at best.  That being said, my Singer 111w153 sews through 2 layers of tooling leather without hesitation.   Hope that helps.

Are you sure, that it walk-foot ? .  I found only One, 10 year old Vid. of a ( Rex 345-2L ) on YouTube .
It really a crappy poor video, but If you go all way to 6:40 in the Vid. . It clearly shows it's a common High shank foot, Bottom-Feed Industrial .
