It is made from walnut and finished in tung oil. It features a no-snag cam lock to allow your stitching material to be pulled right over the top of the locking clamp without a problem. silverbullet Report post Posted November 16, 2014 Nice job pretty wood with the tung oil finish. I made mine from a piece of hundred year old red wood totally blemish free , and extremely light . The heaviest part is the block at the base which I made swivel and tilt like the Japan made ones for a few hundred dollars.
