Members BigMack1990 Posted November 22, 2014 Members Report Posted November 22, 2014 Hello, I am new to the forum and fairly new to leather working. I want to make a holster for my fathers 1911 modeled after the WWII style over the shoulder. I was wondering if anyone knows where to find the certain type of snap they used on the top strap that holds the gun in the holster? I am just going to use a regular snap for the belt strap but was trying to make it authentic. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Quote

Members dbusarow Posted November 23, 2014 Members Report Posted November 23, 2014 I think WWII era would have used Lift the Dot http://snaps.dotfasteners.com/category/lift-the-dot-8482--2 Dan Quote
Members 25b Posted November 23, 2014 Members Report Posted November 23, 2014 Yeah, the WWII holsters definitely used lift-the-dot snaps...not pull-the-dot. Quote
