Leerwerker Report post Posted November 7, 2008 Just finished these two - the one a very old Craftaid (praying hands) and the other a design I got long ago from a very old leather Bible cover ....
ArtS Report post Posted November 7, 2008 Looks good. I like 'em. I like your choices of color. Are you going to sew them or lace them? Art
Leerwerker Report post Posted November 7, 2008 Hi Arts, Thanks. I used the Eco-Flo Timber brown for both - the new water based dyes really works so much better in an airbrush. These are already sewn in a dark brown braided cord. JOhan Oh and I forgot to ask you all:- for this type of slip cover, what do you think my asking price could be? What would you charge? ArtS Report post Posted November 7, 2008 Johan, Oh yeah, I was looking so close at the carving I didn't notice the stitching. Boy, you're asking the wrong guy about pricing. I give most of my stuff away as gifts. Others on here can tell you much better than I can. They make a living at this art. Art Hi Arts,Thanks. Big Papa Leather Report post Posted November 8, 2008 Would you mind showing a pic of the inside. As a newbie I am interested in both the artistic outsides of projects but also dig to see the whole deal-io. How it works kind of deal. Thanks! Jordan Report post Posted November 8, 2008 Nice work. The covers I have made, I sold for $45.00 a few 5 dollar tips also. so maybe $50 would be an appropriate price but it depends on location as some items sell for more or less depending on where you are.
