Members rknight2 Posted December 4, 2014 Members Report Posted December 4, 2014 Hello, I am going to attempt a CC holster. When I lay out my pattern how much do I allow for the thickness of the leather. Also how does the leather thickness affect the pattern to leather differance? It will be a pancake style. Thanks for any help, Ron Quote
Members glockanator Posted December 4, 2014 Members Report Posted December 4, 2014 half the of the thickest part of the firearm plus the the thickness of the leather. I usaually just trace said firearm and put my stich line a 1/2 inch from that. Quote

Members srtolly Posted December 17, 2014 Members Report Posted December 17, 2014 What glockanator said but it does depend on the gun. A Glock is about a inch wide so I'll add about 5/8" to my stitch lines except around the trigger guard which I do 1/2" around. Quote
