bcflyguy Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) I have dyed a finished project with a fiebing dye. Can I change the end result by re antiquing it. If so what do I put on the dyed item first. Edited January 13, 2015 by bcflyguy Quote
ClaireAshton Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 Hi, just give it a good rub with a soft cloth or lambswool to get off the surplus dried dye which always seems seems to look metallic with FIEBINGS and then just antique as per 'instructions . Some colour will come off , it always FIEBINGS and then just antique as per 'instructions . Some colour will come off , it always does, but the antiquing will hide that . GOOD luck! Oh! test it on somewhere hidden or at the back first ...... Quote
LNLeather Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 If in doubt, test it out on some scrap leather first..... Quote
