Members frenchy07 Posted February 5, 2015 Members Report Posted February 5, 2015 Here's a Guitar strap I just finished for a friend of mine who fronts a 80's tribute band. He's my guinea pig for guitar straps. 8 oz lined with 3 oz and baseball stitched with alternating black and natural twisted poly thread. I had no idea how much thread baseball stitching sucks up! 2 pictures of it for you today. One in daylight showing the raised band name in black outlined in white with red, white and blue glitter paint down the name. 2nd pic is for when the lights go off and you need to "glow" your way to safety, or the nearest groupie. Whatever works for you. Quote
Members bentley Posted February 6, 2015 Members Report Posted February 6, 2015 Very nice, do you want to share how you make it glow? Quote
Members frenchy07 Posted February 6, 2015 Author Members Report Posted February 6, 2015 No problem at all sharing as I've done my fair share of borrowing. It was actually almost a afterthought. I bought this V10 glow in the dark paint a while back to use on my front sights and I just thought "I wonder what that would look like? Since I use the straps for this buddy to experiment it was a perfect opportunity. The level of glow is dependent on the thickness you put on, this was one light coat over the white and under the glitterlite paint. The glitterlite is Red, White Sugar and Blue (from Springfield leather but I am sure it can be had many more places). You can get it in a multitude of colors as well. It works best over a white base layer, which I was doing anyway. One of these days I am going to pick up some of the glow powder mix it up in some clear and try it out on other things. Here is where I got mine: http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Green-Glow-Dark-Paint/dp/B00BD63C8W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1423193908&sr=8-1&keywords=v10+glow+in+the+dark+paint Quote
