panchoskywalker Report post Posted February 28, 2015 I was wondering how to make these kind of decoration. I understand it's all about making the holes on the right place and then begin the threading but do I have to apply some glue so the threads don't moves? Sluggo001 Report post Posted March 1, 2015 Just a guess, but, the threads may have been brushed over with some kind of flexible adhesive on the back side. I really like it and I'm curious to find out how it's done.
D1ave Report post Posted March 5, 2015 I would guess they are slits as opposed to holes, just wide enough to fit 5-6 threads. But I'm only guessing. I'd love to know the process too.
panchoskywalker Report post Posted March 28, 2015 Well I tried on a strap, not yet perfect but I think I am on the right path. Will try again with some better thread as this one gets dirty easily.
silverwingit Report post Posted March 30, 2015 Looks nice but I would worry about the durability of a belt made like that. How long before the customer returns it for repairs? Michelle

Michelle That's a good point Michelle, I'm new to leather working so I have no idea about thread durability.
SantaFeMarie Report post Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) One like this might be longer-lived, because the edges of the belt that are going to be rubbing against the beltloops are leather. Edited March 31, 2015 by SantaFeMarie
