  13. Do you know what your client's intended use/expectations are? If he wants these for a one-time project (i.e. only a few impressions) then you'd be OK with the aluminum; if they are for repeated use, then you'd want to move up to brass; if they are meant to be used "forever", then steel. As for the resins, impossible to say, they come in some many different hardnesses. Ditto for white metal, but I personally would be a bit dubious about its potential for this application.
  14. Its very nice. In particular, it has a nice sense of line. One thing you might think about is making the trapezoid under the stud twice as long, then folding it over the bag front, so that it disappears down into the bag.
  15. Do you use a leather needle in the machine? Any problem with the holes closing up?
  16. I would go to a bead store and look for something similar in pewter, "german silver" (which isn't silver at all), or some other base metal compound.
  17. A low-maintenance android that can saddle stitch and sharpen blades.
  18. Very useful information. For someone looking for an even cheaper solution, there is alway a roll of oaktag! Basically, it is like manilla folder paper, but in a large roll. It is the classic pattern-makers material.
  19. It is very nice, and even after you pointed out the flaw I can hardly detect it on my large computer monitor, so I'd say go ahead and forget about it!
