Members Studio-N Posted March 22, 2015 Members Report Posted March 22, 2015 and then get promptly eaten by the Lion. Or at least it does if it's a big horn sheep of some type. This is the stamping from a 3" embossing plate with the Lion and it's prey in a low relief. Made from delrin plastic and cut on my CNC machine. These low reliefs are working very well and are pressing well with only a 1 ton arbor press. Cheers! Quote "Out of my mind.....back in 5 minutes"

Members WinterBear Posted March 24, 2015 Members Report Posted March 24, 2015 The beastie is a kudu, a type of antelope that lions find pretty tasty. Kudu horns are used as shofar, and are also used in some Boy Scout events, especially WoodBadge. I've a couple of kudu horns, one of which have just started planning a leather case for.Nice emboss plate. I bet that would look fabulous as a panel on a briefcase front, or a journal cover. Members Studio-N Posted March 24, 2015 Author Members Report Posted March 24, 2015 Thank for the info WB. that's the nice thing about these - once the artwork is done it can be resized to anything larger. I was very happy with the look of this one. cheers! Quote "Out of my mind.....back in 5 minutes"
