vdy Report post Posted April 23, 2015 Greetings,I'm Vandy from IndonesiaI'm a new guy to leathergoods stuff, I consider myself very lucky found this website.Now I know(a little bit) why some leathergoods in my country 'good on the outside & bad on the inside'I'm flooded with massive information and of course i can't wait to try make one myselfI'm familiar with old(year 1991) Home Sewing Machine(Butterfly), but i realize that i need to ultilize different equipment for serious leathergoods craft.I intent to craft small stuff first, such as Pouches,CardHolder,LooseLeaf/Book cover then try some belts and holstersI'm ready to learn, & definitifely i need to learn a lot. As you have already seen there is a lot going on in the world of Leather Crafts, from different products, to styles and artistic endeavors. Yes tools are important but not as important as the ability of the person wielding the tool. You are correct for wanting to start with small projects. Make sure you establish good techniques, because bad habits are hard to break. Just remember that all of us had a "First Project". Good luck and hope to see some of your handiwork in the future.
