Sven WillIBeFamous Report post Posted May 5, 2015 Just picked up some basics to try my hand at stitching. I've had an idea to make a utility belt for when I'm announcing Roller Derby games and so this is the 1st prototype of one of the elements. It's my first go at stitching and wet forming, and I sort of just made up the design as I went along. Really happy with it as it stands at the minute but I can definitely see a few areas I can improve on. As always, comments and critiques are welcome. Halitech Report post Posted May 5, 2015 Looks good for your first go at stitching. what spi did you use? Only thing I would suggest is to get your stitches out closer to the edge. Usually you try and be no more then about 1/8" away from the edge.
capsterdog Report post Posted May 5, 2015 Roller Derby, geez I use to watch that on tv, loved it. Your holster there looks good for first attempt and coming up with your own design. You should be proud of it!!
onefinebob Report post Posted May 5, 2015 That looks really handy - a great way to hold the mic when not in use. I like the microphone you put on it as well!
Sven WillIBeFamous Report post Posted May 6, 2015 That looks really handy - a great way to hold the mic when not in use. I like the microphone you put on it as well! The plan is to build a utility belt specifically for when I'm announcing games. I'm thinking water bottle holder, space for sharpies and whiteboard pens, spare batteries for the mics, a hook or a clip to hang a clipboard from and many, many other compartments I'll think of later.
