Members misel Posted November 26, 2008 Members Report Posted November 26, 2008 Hi, I am new to this forum. I bought some vintage tools and have access to a leather shop. I am wanting to construct gun cases that protect well. Any thoughts on where I should start, and the type of leather best suited for this project. Thank you Quote
carr52 Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Welcome misel This the place to start. Since I joined this forum my leathercraft skills have improved a great deal. I still have much to learn. I've never made any gun cases but if you look in the holster section of this forum you'll get some great ideas. Tom Quote
Contributing Member Jordan Posted November 26, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) Welcome to the site, explore and ask a bunch of questions, above all have fun. Tandy leather or other leather companies will have the three volume set of books called making leather cases by Al Stohlman, good as any place to start. I probably got the title wrong but they will know what you are looking for. Edited November 26, 2008 by Jordan Quote
