Members gl2t1a Posted June 20, 2015 Members Report Posted June 20, 2015 This is a 10-inch Chase patter splitter that will thin leather straps from 15oz down to 2oz or less with very little effort. No markings but I believe it was made by CS Osborne after they acquired the original Chase patent of 1859. I used it daily in my shop until I acquired an electric splitter. This hard to find leather tool works much better than the modern stuff. If you're making belts or straps, you can't afford to do without this classic tool. $375 with spare blade included.
