Members Knifeknut Posted November 26, 2008 Members Report Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) Hey all! Leather bending newb here. I've done a few basic knife sheaths and would like to try a pouch style in-waistband sheath using a metal belt clip. I'm looking for some pointers specifically with attaching the clip. I'm assuming the hole is used to rivet it to the leather. What else is used to keep the clip secure? Glue, stiching? Here's a photo of the clip I want to use. Any instructions would be helpful. Pics are good too. Thanks. Edited November 26, 2008 by Knifeknut Quote
carr52 Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 Howdy Knifenut I use another piece of a lighter weight to hold the clip. Maybe you can see it in the pick. Tom Quote
Members DCKNIVES Posted November 27, 2008 Members Report Posted November 27, 2008 I agree with Tom on using that style of clip.I really don't like belt clips much and did this one for a police officer using a leather belt clip.Dave Quote
Members Knifeknut Posted November 27, 2008 Author Members Report Posted November 27, 2008 Thanks a lot guys! I'm not sure why I didn't think of doing a leather strap like that. I've seen plenty of IWB holsters set up that way but never a sheath. Nice looking work both of you. Quote
