davecbnz Report post Posted July 5, 2015 I've just picked up a Juki lu563, i want to know what is the maximum size thread i can run through 6mm (just under 1/4")of veg tanned leather? Geneva Report post Posted July 5, 2015 The only way to use a larger thread is to take the bobbin cover and either mill more clearance or grind it out yourself from the slot that is cut in the underside of the bobbin cover. There isn't enough clearance between the top of the bobbin holder and the bottom of the bobbin cover for any thicker thread.
