gt2ride Report post Posted July 9, 2015 I am looking at a consew 756r for $1000.00. this sounds cheep. I want to sew a stack 3/4 thick. what do you think of this machine? gt2ride
Constabulary Report post Posted July 9, 2015 Its a clone of the JUKI 441 made by a well known manufacturer - I´d buy it asap before someone else puts his hands on it. But test it before you buy it - you never know what people have done with it. http://www.consew.com/View/Consew-Model-756R
shoepatcher Report post Posted July 9, 2015 gt2Ride, Can you get us any pictures of the machine? The reason I say this is that Consew used to make a 756R which was different than the 441 clone machine they make today that Constabulary has pics of. I had one back in Canada in the late 1980's. Looking at it, you would think it would blow the doors off a Adler 205-370. No such deal. Feeding was different and not nearly as good. We had problems with it. We ended up selling it and getting an Adler 205-370. Make sure it is not one of those older machines. Pictures would help. The machine 756R of today is a much better machine. glenn

CowboyBob Report post Posted July 11, 2015 To my knowledge they old styles were all hammertone gray, just the new (441) styles were white. You can cut & paste that ad into your reply so we can see the pic.

Constabulary Report post Posted July 15, 2015 Thats BTW the "old type" and not the 441 clone. Glenn said he had problems with it (see 3rd post). So he probably can give some answers....
shoepatcher Report post Posted July 16, 2015 This is indeed the older style 756R. The machine actually looks heavier than the 441 clone. However, it does not sew as well as the 441 clone or 205 Adler. It will sew some heavy items. Plus, the feet are different than a 205 or 441, so those feet normally will not work. Still, $1000.00 is not a bad price and the machine looks to be in good shape. Just my thoughts. glenn
